Training details
Goal/standards:  Manoeuvring Deep-draught vessels: anchoring, avoidance, berthing and unberthing, with and without tugs.
Length:  2 days
Simulation:  Mainly practical. Brief theoretical explanations, followed by exercises on the multidisciplinary navigation simulator.
Prerequisites:  Holding a pilotís license or being in the process of acquiring such a license.
Preferred teaching   
strategies: 
Theoretical and practical, hands-on experience using the navigation simulator. Discussions among the participants encouraged during manoeuvres.
